If you want your pictures included in the yearbook...

...give them to Adrian Begonia (Graviton), Telle San Antonio (Truth) or Mia Pangilinan (Muon) on or before Friday next week, November 20. Can be in a CD or a USB (if you are willing to lend for a few hours/days).

Please organize them into folders by event and include the date (doesn't have to be specific - can be at least the year). If there are random pictures you want to submit that cannot be classified under certain events (such as funny candid shots from regular days), you may place them in a separate folder named 'Random.'

Ex:
[names of folders in CD/USB]
Random
1styear - Kilos Awit
2ndyear - 7 Lakes Field Trip
3rdyear - JS Prom (Rouge)
4thyear - Reader's Theater

We'll appreciate it if you submit trimmed down files (as in the folders only include the good pictures/those you actually want to be seen by other people), instead of giving all the shots from a particular event.

Pictures from events that are yet to come (such as retreat, this year's prom, grad ball) will be accepted as they come along. Just submit them asap to the same people.

Due credit will be given to those who generously lend their pictures. :D

Submit kayo. :D Para maganda yung mga mainclude sa yearbook. :) Thank you so much!

SAGIPISAY: Donation Drive for PSHS Community

*reposted from here.

SAGIPISAY is a donation and assistance drive for the victims of typhoon Ondoy--especially members of the PSHS community and their families.

DONATION OF GOODS

If you have donations you wish to bring, please drop them off at school. We will be open to donations until Friday. No need for any permit. We are recommending the donation of these particular items: food (rice, canned goods, noodles, biscuits, milk), toiletries (soap, cleaning materials, powdered detergent, mops), clothes (new undergarments, uniforms, old clothes), footwear (slippers, sandals), water (bottled), sleeping materials (blankets, mats), utensils (plastic spoons, forks, plates), and other things (umbrellas, raincoats, jackets, boxes to store donations).

MONETARY DONATIONS

You may have these given to the following:

If you wish to donate for the typhoon victims, please give your cash/check to any SA officer this week. With checks, please make them payable to the Philippine Science High School Student Alliance (Account Number: 0273094121; BPI - Timog Branch Savings Account; Swift Code: BOPIPHMM). You may also deposit donations in this account.

If you wish to donate as a condolence to Camille Tobillo (2010) whose sister was not saved when her house was flooded (let's also pray for her), please approach Ma'am Butaran or the 2010 batch officers.

Also, DJ Yarte of I-Topaz had his elbow operated. He was injured at the basketball court last week. Ma'am Sagucio and the 2013 batch officers will be accepting your donations as well.

RECEIVING AND SORTING THE DONATIONS

Venue: ASTB

Each batch is assigned a time slot.

Wednesday Morning (8 - 12 AM) - 2010
Wednesday Afternoon (1 - 4PM) - 2011
Thursday Morning (8 - 12 AM) - 2012
Thursday Afternoon (1 - 4PM) - 2013

If you want to volunteer to receive and sort the donations, please proceed during the respective time slot (if you can't go at your assigned time, it's okay). Please bring an ID and a permit from your parents stating that you are allowed to assist.

HAVING DONATIONS READY FOR DISTRIBUTION

This will be done particularly during Thursday afternoon and Friday. Distribution will be done on Friday and Saturday. The PTA is in charge of distribution. They will be proceeding to the victims' houses.

What you/your parents con contribute: a large, heavy-duty car (that can go through muddy, flooded areas) and manpower (for carrying the goods).

PISAY CLEAN-UP

If you want to go to school to help clean up as well, kindly follow the schedule for receiving/sorting donations. Clean-up will be spearheaded by CARE members and Sir Guce. Bring your ID and a parent's permit as well.

FOR THOSE WHO NEED A TEMPORARY PLACE/ASSISTANCE

For those who are in need of assistance, whose houses were damaged, lost, or are in need of repair, you may opt to stay at the dormitories in the meantime. Please coordinate with your batch advisers, or the admin. They will either have you accommodated at the dorms or at a host family.

Stand by for more announcements.

Ondoy

We are having a donation drive for those affected in our Pisay community by Ondoy. We are requesting students to bring food, clothing, or any items that can help. Drop boxes will be placed either at the faculty rm. or in front of the SA room second floor SHB. For those who wish to donate money, you can give it either to me [Athena] or Dr. Cristobal. Again, any form of help will be much appreciated. And FYI, the first floor of the SHB and dorms are still flooded waist deep.

-Athena Aherrera

Update: Hindi na flooded ang Pisay
